Rabbi Tillman

Interfaith Weddings

The reason of my success with interfaith couples is very simple. My approach is based on just one fundamental principle: this is YOUR WEDDING. My role as a rabbi is to celebrate you as a couple in the context of the Jewish tradition. I have a long and extensive interfaith wedding experience: Jewish-Catholic, Jewish-Presbyterian, Jewish-Episcopal, Jewish-Lutheran, Jewish-Orthodox Christian, Jewish-Muslim, Jewish-Buddhist, Jewish-Hindu even Jewish-Zoroastrian... You name it - I have done it.

This is what I do:

  • highly personalized wedding ceremony
  • authentic Jewish traditions from the Old World
  • respect for other religious traditions
  • tasteful and yet joyous celebration of your marriage
  • preparation time: enjoyable and energetic personal conversations and educational exploration of love, spirituality, family, of all things good... the meaning of life and the beauty thereof - premarital counseling the way it should be! Trust me! It's fun!
  • will officiate by myself or will be glad to co-officiate with a different faith clergy
  • no pressure to convert
  • no pressure to join any congregation (you are invited to check out my synagogue, Congregation Am Chai at www.amchai.org)

I want you to be yourselves, to celebrate the beauty of your love and to have a great time! Let us experience the joy of your wedding!

B'nei Mitzvah

The purpose of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah study course is to give our children a JOYOUS LEARNING experience. I want your kid to ENJOY it!

  • PERSONALIZED curriculum designed individually for each student
  • Excellent TUTORING so that the learning would be a lot more efficient than in a group setting
  • YOU CHOOSE the style of liturgy for the service - reform, conservative etc..
  • YOU CHOOSE the location of the bar/bat mitzvah celebration - you can have at your home, you can have it at a hotel or a banquet hall, you can have it on a boat...
  • AUTHENTIC and FUN bar/bat mitzvah service - everything will be there: sefer Torah, siddurim etc..
